State Political High Level Committee meeting of the Puthiya Tamilagam Party was held under the chairmanship of Dr. K. Krishnasamy, MD, Ex. MLA, in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore yesterday (05.03.2022) from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The resolution passed at the meeting:
The war between Russia and Ukraine, which began on February 24, is escalating day by day. As a result, Ukraine has suffered heavy casualties and significant casualties from soldiers on both sides. So far more than one million Ukrainians have sought refuge in neighbouring countries. People in big cities like Kiev and Kharkiv are suffering without food, water, hygienic air and toilet facilities in bunkers and metro stations in order to protect themselves from missile attacks. Students and civilians from many countries who went to study in that country are unable to leave Ukraine. In Ukraine, which has more than 15 nuclear power plants there is a looming danger that even a small misplaced attack could wreak havoc on humanity, with the effects of the escalating war and the encirclement of large cities. Sanctions on Russia are beginning to affect the rest of the world. After World War II in 1945, the signal for another world war is now visible. If the war is not stopped now, it will engulf Europe and the rest of the world. Resolutions passed by the UN Security Council and the General Council to end the war have not worked. The situation is such that only India, which has so far been neutral, can play a major role in ending the war. In the three days since the war began, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In order for India to fulfill its historic obligation, it will hold a series of talks with Russian President Putin, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, US President Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Macron, German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz and the EU President to end the Russia-Ukraine war and bring peace there. The Puthiya Tamilagam Party calls on the Government of India to make strenuous and serious efforts to bring an end to this war and let peace prevail.
