Sub: Request UN intervention in Afghan-Taliban issue.

The Most Respected Sir,
This is letter is from a global citizen who concerned about the freedom and security of human beings around the world.

I am Dr. K. Krishnasamy, a Post Graduate Medical Doctor and the leader of Puthiya Tamilagam political party in TamilNadu, India and Human rights and Civil Rights Activists.

With deep anguish and worries, I am penning about the horrible happenings going on in Afghanistan at present. It is more painful to hear, read and watch about the chaos prevailing in Afghanistan. After the takeover of Afghanistan by Taliban it is clear that human rights violations will go unabated and all the fundamental rights of the citizens will be curtailed. More or less complete withdrawal of US and Allied forces leads Taliban to have highhandedness. Hence, many people decided to flee from Afghanistan to save their lives from Taliban brutal rule.

It is reported that in many areas looting, hijacking, suicidal bomb attacks are routine in everyday life which has not well reported .Even though there is a widespread discontentment among the public, people are not able to come out openly against Taliban because even the small voice against them will endanger their lives.

Taliban takeover of Afghanistan has emerged new level of threat to local and international communities. The country name itself as Islamic emirate that shows the present situation will not be different from 1996 to 2001.During that period they gave scant respect for democratic norms and imposed only fundamental Islamic laws. Their victory for Taliban will boost their morale and carry out the sinister activities both inside and outside the Afghanistan

Sir, UN know well that most of the Asian countries are facing the consequences of terrorism quite long time like such organisations.Emergence of Taliban will escalate the already existing conflicts around the world and it will boost up all the terrorist groups in the world. This will lead to culmination of small to big size wars. As a humanist writing I would like to point out that already, we are facing cross border terrorism from Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban’s reemerge will cause more dangerous situation to India especially our Kashmir.

Reemergence of Taliban will help to restore fundamentalism. Because of this Hindus, Sikhs and other religious people are targeted in Afghanistan. Most of the people exodus of large masses happening in all the border of Afghanistan to nearby countries. It may cause many problems to nearby nations also. Since most of the countries were back tracked. It is the right time for the UN to intervene in Afghanistan issue and to seek a solution for inhuman activities prevails in Afghanistan. UN should not allow Afghanistan to be epicenter for extremism and Terrorism. That will be a challenge for the world security.

Hence I request Hon’ble Secretary General of United Nation to convene UN general Assembly and UN Security Council meeting to deal with the Afghan situation. United Nation should take immediate steps to stop all sorts of human rights violation to reestablish the civilized government in Afghanistan. UN should not be a mere spectator and not be a mere appealing body. Keeping silence by UN in this matter will take away the freedom and security of the people of Afghanistan at present and world at large. Therefore, UN is the only organization, which can deal appropriately in such a situation.
